SYNOPSIS

Mirror, mirror in my book — turn the page, take a look!  A fun-filled board book die-cut in the shape of a mirror features colorful photographs of multicultural babies that explore the various features of the face and includes a special mylar mirror for small children to look at their own special face.  For children under three.

AUTHOR'S NOTES

Having grown up Eurasian was very difficult for me.  There were children in the neighborhood who wouldn't play with me.  Baby Face helped me make sense of my life and helped me deal with the pain of dealing with racism.  It was empowering to work on a book for babies that subtly makes a statement against prejudice.  I felt as though after all the years of being ashamed of my background, I could make a difference.
